MASTER IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION MBA - Management or Marketing
The MBA Program offered by CAP College is designed for those who cannot attend regular formal school. The system of instruction utilizes study guides as primary medium. The study guides explain the key concepts of the course and lead the learners to achieve the course objectives through self-directed activities.
CAP College believes that graduate education is most ideal for its non-traditional system of instruction for two reasons: one, graduate students are mostly mature in age, so that independent learning is best suited for them, and two, they generally have adequate background in research work. Most are already professionals, which give them familiarity with occupational problems upon which to base their research work and write their thesis or feasibility studies. CAP College lays stress on research in both thesis and non-thesis programs.
In the thesis program, thesis writing and defense are major requirements for graduation. In the non-thesis program, students are required case studies, action research, or feasibility studies in specific subjects.
To match their respective areas of work, students can elect from two areas of specialization: Management and Marketing.
The program develops skills that managers can immediately apply to their current jobs. It aims to:
Provide requisite tools and techniques in management with the infusion of the state-of-the-art technology and the theories and principles in the social-behavioral sciences;
Train busy executives for the furtherance of their managerial skills to enhance the development and growth of their respective organizations;
Provide opportunities for continuing education to managers, administrators and other functionaries for professional growth and career development;
Help in the training of management specialists as the main thrust of the nation; and
Promote the cause of research to contribute to national development efforts.
ORGANIZATION OF THE PROGRAM
The MBA Curriculum adheres to the clusters of courses prescribed by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) namely: the Foundation, Tool, Functional, Integrative and Specialization clusters.
